Alessia Sinopoli

I am an Italian artist based in Berlin. I work primarily with graphite, and my practice focuses on realistic portraiture, exploring themes of human ambivalence, introspection, and identity. My pencil drawings, characterised by a detailed and technically precise approach, often interact with more intuitive decorative elements created with coloured markers and traditional gold leaf gilding (a tribute to my Italian heritage). I hold a degree in Sociology from Sapienza University of Rome, a background that continues to influence my interest in the complexity of human experience. I am active within Berlin’s contemporary art scene. In 2024, I participated in the Art Up Now programme, supported by the European Social Fund and the Berlin Senate. Since 2026, I have been a member of the artists’ association XANTHIPPE.
