I’m Danica Ružić, a Berlin-based contemporary artist working in maximalist, expressive painting. I love colour, texture and the unexpected, creating vivid mixed-media works with layered surfaces, unconventional materials and handmade textures. My paintings sit somewhere between abstraction and recognition: the longer you look, the more shapes, creatures, landscapes and stories can begin to emerge. With a background in psychology, I’m fascinated by perception and by how differently we can experience the same image. I leave space for that personal interpretation, inviting viewers to pause, look twice and discover their own story within the work.
