Vivian Malloy

I’ve been drawing and painting since I could hold a pen. For me, my art is like a language of its own. My images are influenced by the things that occupy my mind. Themes such as childhood trauma, sexualized violence, ideals of the body and beauty, codes of conduct, sexual desire, and the shame and stigma surrounding it all flow into my work. I am also fascinated by anything that is in some way offbeat; things like trash movies or the children's book „Struwwelpeter“, for instance, have likely shaped my aesthetic.
