Biography
“I photograph not what the eye sees, but what remains when seeing becomes a feeling.”
I am a self-taught French photographer and visual artist, born in northern France in 1958. My work explores the human figure, identity, perception and transformation, at the intersection of photography, painting and sculpture. I see the body as both landscape and memory, a place where the visible and invisible meet. Through veils, translucent surfaces, projections, movement and fragments, I transform the familiar into something uncertain and dreamlike. My practice extends into artist’s books, printmaking and algorithmic drawing. Photography is not an endpoint for me, but a material to transform, question and reinvent. At the heart of my work is a search for the fragile space between image and sensation, between the body we see and the inner world it carries.
