candi bassas

Born 1992 in Barcelona. Candy Bassas lives and works in Berlin since 2016. She graduated in Illustration and Costume Design in 2016 in Barcelona, and is currently a student of fine arts in the class of David Schutter at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her main disciplines are painting, printmaking, writing and music performance. Her book Landscape of my Youth was published by Spunpress in 2021, London. She was granted the Dorothea Konwiarz scholarship 2023/24. Bassas has presented her work in solo exhibitions internationally, including in Berlin, Barcelona, Rome, and Madrid. She was subsequently awarded the Musicboard 2024 Grant and exhibited in May 2025 in Madrid a solo show curated by Oscar Manrique. In 2026, she exhibited in Lichtblau Galerie in Kreuzberg as a duo show, in Weserhalle in a group show in Neuköln and a solo show in Galerie Mellies.
