Biography
SHEL . (Silinta Jancauskaite) is a multidisciplinary artist working between photography, drawing, and experimental narrative. Her practice grows from liminal states of identity, memory, and inner transformation. Raised in a post-Soviet landscape where silence carried history, she later lived around Europe, becoming both insider and outsider — learning how belonging dissolves and reforms in the body. Her work often moves through mythology, skin, ritual, and the subtle violence of becoming someone new. Figures appear fragmented or half-formed, like memories surfacing; bones, shadows, and blurred gestures carry what words cannot. She creates slowly, intuitively, letting images arrive rather than chasing them.
