Tatsuru Arai
Berlin
Biography
“My work explores the invisible forces connecting nature, technology, and human perception”
Tatsuru Arai is an artist who integrates classical and contemporary music with AI and computer technology, developing concepts such as Trans-Ages Music and Hyper-Serial Music. Face of Universe examines the connection between Earth’s ecosystems and the sun’s nuclear fusion energy, tracing the evolution of life from early atmosphere to contemporary urban environments. Wildflowers growing in cities become metaphors for coexistence between nature and civilization—a symbolic “face of the universe.” Through AI and computational tools, Arai proposes new artistic directions: merging classical and contemporary music with technology, visualizing natural and cosmic processes beyond human-centered narratives, and fostering harmony between humanity and nature. His work has been presented internationally, including the Philharmonie de Paris, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, ISEA, transmediale, Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Dubai, and major festivals and institutions across Europe and Asia.
