Born into the breath of the voice and the rhythm of the stage, Margot Canale first trained in the lyric arts at the Conservatory. Singing taught her about the body, presence, and the silence between two notes. Cinema came next, as a school for the eye: as a camera assistant, she discovered the precision of light, the rigor of framing, and the patience of technical skill. This dual training gave rise to an instinctive and embodied photographic practice. For the past two years, Margot has been exploring photography as a language in its own right, combining portraiture, fashion, and staging. It has become a means of artistic expression for her, where her universe is revealed in every detail telling a story and conveying emotion by developing an image where the body becomes language and symbol. Her gaze, shaped by technical experience as much as by emotion, seeks to reveal what lies beneath appearances: tension, vulnerability and power.
